Annual Meeting and Awards Banquet

The brief business meeting begins at 6.30 p.m. and the dinner and program begins at 7.00. The cost of the meal is $25.00. Reservations are required by emailing Rev. Jeff Hamilton at jeffham@swbell.net by October 12, 2009.

The Keynote Address "IT'S TIME: MORAL RESPONSIBILITY IN THE MAKE OR BREAK CENTURY" will be presented by Dr. Mark Y.A. Davies, Dean of the Petree college of Arts & Sciences, Oklahoma City University.

The Program will also include the annual awards given by the Interfaith Alliance:

The Community Service Award will be presented to Youth Services for Oklahoma County Inc. for addressing the needs of homeless high school students through the SKIL program

The Harley Venters Humanitarian Award will be presented to The Honorable Susan Savage, Oklahoma's Secretary of State

Dr. Mark Y.A. Davies is Dean of the Petree College of Arts and Sciences and Wimberly Professor of Social Ethics at Oklahoma City University. Dr. Davies has published in the areas of Boston personalism, process philosophy and ethics, and ecological ethics. He is an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church. Dr. Davies is co-founder of Oikos, Inc.,a non-profit organization that focuses on systemic solutions for global sustainability with special emphasis on the issues of peace and nonviolence, social justice and human need, and ecological sustainability.

Dr. Davies and his wife Kristin live in Edmond, OK and have two daughters, Rae and Sophia.
